Samantha brings with her over a decade of experience working to support women and families. “My own personal experience as a mother, wife, sister, and daughter drives my passion to support others in their own walks of life, from the teen years through trying to build and maintain a family. I also hold a special place for those navigating trauma or grief/loss. I desire for therapy to be a space where you are seen, heard, and understood.”
Samantha believes in the power of a strong therapeutic connection and works to build trust and extend curiosity about the ways you have learned to show up in your mind, body, and relationships. Working from a trauma-informed approach to build safety and stability from the start, Samantha utilizes the mind-body connection to teach skills for coping with the present and building strength for the deeper healing work ahead. Also using narrative and parts-work techniques, exploration of past stories and relationships expands clarity about how to move forward.
Together, Samantha aims to walk alongside you to uncover essential needs that have gone unmet, name with truth the formative experiences that deserve healing, and welcome the parts of yourself historically burdened to live more authentically and whole. Samantha would consider it an honor to walk with you from a place of "surviving" to thriving.
In her free time, you can find Samantha outside with her family or sitting around a table with friends and family. Samantha equally enjoys time spent with good company or alone with a cup of coffee.
“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.”
-Peter Levine
